# Email Read Receipts

Knowledge is power. With Smarty's read receipts, know exactly when your emails are read. This feature is activated by default, but you're always in control. To toggle read receipts on or off:

1. Navigate to Settings > Email Preferences.
2. Switch the "Read Receipts" toggle as per your preference.
